Emotional, heart-wrenching, but full of hope and promise, delivered with power and passion by an exciting fresh new voice…that’s the best way to describe the music of Becky Carey and her uplifting release “I Wait For You” on Creative Soul Records. Named as a 2008 Momentum Award “Contemporary Artist of the Year” Top 5 Finalist, Becky Carey is optimistic about the future God has planned for her, which is obvious to anyone who meets her by the passion and joy she exudes. Also obvious; however, this time from the transparency of her heartfelt song lyrics, is that God has walked Becky through a season in the desert and a season of pruning in preparation for her journey ahead.
“Many nights, in the midst of heart breaking despair, I cried out to God to heal and change the hurtful and stressful situations in my life, but things kept getting worse. After coming to the end of myself, emotionally exhausted and out of ideas, God showed me that I was carrying burdens that were His, not mine, to carry and to solve so, I “let go and let God”. That is when change began. Surprisingly though, the problems didn’t change, I did. I quit nagging God and began to really trust Him at His Word. Oh, the amazing peace I’ve found.”
Almost immediately, God ushered Becky into a new season of her life which included a chain of events that connected Becky with producer Eric Copeland and led to the creation of her CD, “I Wait For You” on Creative Soul Records.
